Privacy Policy

Nigh is made by KCG Media LLC, a Michigan company. This policy covers the Nigh app for iPhone and this website, nighcountdown.com.

The short version: your countdowns and photos stay on your iPhone. Nigh has no accounts, no ads and no tracking, and we do not sell or share personal information.

What stays on your iPhone

• Your countdowns. Titles, dates, repeat settings and the look you chose for each one are stored on your device.
• Your photos. When you pick a photo as a background, Nigh uses the iPhone photo picker, so it only receives the photos you select. It saves a resized copy inside the app and never uploads it.
• Widget data. The app shares your countdowns with its own Home Screen widget on the same device. Nothing is sent anywhere to do this.

We have no server that receives this information and no way to see it. If you use iCloud or computer backups, Apple may include Nigh's data in your backup under Apple's own terms.

What leaves your iPhone

• Crash reports. If Nigh crashes or hits an error, a report is sent to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), the service we use to find and fix bugs. A report contains technical details such as the error, the app version, the iPhone model and the iOS version. We use these reports only to fix problems, never to identify you or to advertise.
• Scene artwork. The background scenes are downloaded from our storage at Cloudflare. As with any download, Cloudflare's servers see your IP address and which image was requested. We do not use these requests to track you.
• Your purchase. Nigh is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment, and we never see your card or billing details. Apple gives us overall sales and download numbers, not who bought.
• Email you send us. If you write to support@nighcountdown.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include, and we use it only to reply.

What Nigh does not do

• It does not ask you to create an account.
• It does not show ads or use advertising identifiers.
• It does not track you across other apps or websites.
• It does not sell, rent or trade personal information.

Children

Nigh is a general audience app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or from anyone else.

This website

This site uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts. Like most web hosts, ours keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.

Your choices

You can delete any countdown or photo inside the app at any time. Deleting Nigh from your iPhone removes everything it stored. If you have a question about a crash report or want one removed, email us and we will take care of it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
